Terms of Service

1. The Service

BriefShot is an AI-powered tool that generates professional photography shoot plans — including scene descriptions, camera and lighting setup, wardrobe direction, reference images, and model briefs. Content is produced by AI and provided as creative direction. It should be reviewed before use on set.

We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use BriefShot. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Creative Credits

BriefShot operates on a Creative Credit system. 1 Creative Credit generates 1 complete AI Scene — including reference image, camera setup, lighting direction, wardrobe suggestion, model brief, and checklist.

Subscriptions

Monthly subscription plans (Creator, Pro, Studio) include a set number of credits per billing cycle. Subscription credits reset at the start of each new billing period — unused credits do not roll over. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Top-up packs

One-time credit packs can be purchased at any time on any plan. Top-up credits never expire and carry over indefinitely unless your account is closed.

Free plan

New accounts receive 3 complimentary Creative Credits. These are not eligible for cash refunds as no payment was made.

All purchases are subject to our Refund Policy. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or circumvent the AI systems
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written authorisation
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Use automated scripts or bots to consume credits or generate content at scale
• Attempt to manipulate or falsify your credit balance

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the content you upload or input into the Service (briefs, reference images, brand notes). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the sole purpose of generating your shoot plans.

We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not share your shoot plans or uploaded images with third parties except as required to operate the Service (see our Privacy Policy).

6. AI-Generated Content

You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use AI-generated shoot plans and reference images for your own commercial and personal photography projects. BriefShot does not claim ownership of generated content.

AI-generated reference images are provided as visual direction only. They are not production-ready photographs and should not be presented to clients as finished work.

7. Intellectual Property

The BriefShot platform, its code, design, branding, and all non-user-generated content are owned by BriefShot and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

8. Availability & Changes

We aim to keep BriefShot available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes where possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BriefShot is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits or subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. We encourage resolving any disputes through direct communication before pursuing legal remedies.
